India is bracing itself for a decisive change in the education policy The thrust of this policy is now on the development of 21st century skills among the students..
So now the classrooms are going to change a lot and more emphasis will be given on conducting different type of activities in the classroom to develop the skills of the children.
How teaching will be different according to new education policy
The new education policy aims to develop 21st century skills and the competencies among the students and for this in English language lot of activities can be plant at different levels in the classroom which we will discuss in detail one by one according to the different age groups.
Present education system focuses on knowledge gathering through facts so more emphasis was on learning and this promoted rote memorization in the students In the absence of quality teachers the whole process of passing the exam and upgradation depended on the children's capacity to produce answers for a set of questions based on their syllabus this process did not involve in the development of different type of skills and competencies which are required for the child to think independently in a particular language and so now the shift is more on developing such competencies like communication skills leadership qualities and different type of abilities to think independently and work in our own ways.

When we educate children in English we expect that the children should be able to read properly in English, to write properly in English, listen and understand and comprehend the language and able to speak also effectively with correct pronunciation intonation and able to think and express their views properly in the English language.

"Word game" according to the text can be incorporated in the classroom to enhance the vocabulary
"Photo word game "through this activity we can involve small children of primary classes we can show them a group of photographs and asked them to pronounce the words and even make a story based on the photograph
"Word game of conversion" in this game the children can be given a word and they can be asked to make new words by using different prefix and suffix or change the word into different adjectives nouns adverbs
Parody of words can also be played in the classroom to make students equipment with the new words and enable them to think different words with their spellings.
*"Problem solving through a story".Challenging problems can be given to the students and they can be asked to find a solution based on the story so moral development can be done in the students by this type of activity.
