God has given us a precious environment on which thousands
of species of plants and animal thrive.
Man's greed and urbanization has led to the depletion of
environment. It is our duty to protect our environment. I am presenting a poem
in which a student is taking a pledge to protect the environment.
Set title of my poem let's take a pledge to protect
environment.
Protect environment.
Oh! Let’s make a commitment, to create a pure environment
Free from frustration, corruption and pollution
Despite adversities and complications
Aiming to attain sustainable development
Oh! Let’s make a commitment, to create a pure environment
Free from dust, smoke and
poisonous substances
Emitted from chimneys of factories and vehicles
To promote a disease free and pollution free environment
Oh! Let’s make a commitment, to create a pure environment
Where water is fine, fresh and free from germs
Without deadly Chemicals from industrial firms
Providing crystal clear water as compliment.
Then Living on this earth would be a bliss
Our life would be tension free and sweet
Oh let’s make a
commitment to create a pure environment
Come lets together create a pure environment.
Politeness Works Wonders !
Children, do you know the power of your words .They can
create, they can destroy .So, we have
to be very careful while talking. Each word gives an idea of what we have in
our mind. Words reflect our good and
evil thoughts .Here is a story of a woman whose habit was to gossip. One day the woman went to a holy man and
requested him to suggest some method to overcome her bad habit of gossiping. The
holy man thought for a while. Then he
went inside his ashram and brought out a bag of cotton and gave it to her. He told
her to take out cotton step by step
and throw it in the air.Taking the bag of cotton she
returned home and did according to the instructions of the holy man . Next day,
she again went to the holy man with empty bag. She said,“Maharaj, I worked
according to your instructions but how can I know that I have overcome my
habit.”Then the holy man said, '’ Your task is not yet over . Please go back and collect those cotton balls
in this bag and bring them back.” The lady said,’’Maharaj , how is it possible
to collect those cotton balls?”The holy
man laughed, and the lady understood the
purpose of that exercise. It is impossible to get back those bad words which you
have spoken once. From that day onwards, she stopped gossiping. Children , never
gossip or talk ill of
others. Be polite and
sweet. Politeness is that magic which can convert your enemy into your friends.

Always be happy
The monsoon was in full swing and a peacock was happily dancing in a forest.Suddenly , his face turned pale and he started sobbing. He heard a nightingale singing melodiously on a nearby tree . The peacock lamented, “She has a very sweet voice which everybody loves and praises but when I sing, everybody makes fun of me.How unlucky I am! “ Just then appeared Juna, the wife of Jupiter, the chief of Gods. She asked the peacock,”Why are you sad?” The peacock sobbed and said, “I have got such a beautiful body that is praised by all but my voice is so bad that everyone laughs at me. This beauty is of no good. “replied the peacock. The Goddess said, “All the creatures in this world have been gifted with various gifts by God - like you have been gifted with beauty ,eagle the strength; nightingale a sweet voice; so on and so forth. So,never get upset for what you don't have .Rather, be happy for what you have. We should learn to live with our strength.

Story for juniors
Good morning respected teachers today I. (name will be given) am narrating a Story based on panchtantra tales in front of you. The title of this story is Brahmin and his dream
Long ago, there lived a poor Brahmin in a village. He used to beg for a living and sometimes, had to go without food for many days. One day he got a pot full of flour. He was very happy. He took the pot home and hung it up near his bed. He laid down on the bed and gazed at his pot. He started weaving magnificent dreams imagining an extraordinary life.
He dreamt that if a famine came to the land, he could sell the flour for a very good price. People would outbid each other. He would finally sell it for twenty rupees. With these twenty rupees, he would buy a pair of goats. He would feed these goats on green grass. Soon the goats would have lots of kids and he would trade the whole herd of goats for buffaloes and cows. The cows would have calves of their own and there would be lots and lots of milk. He would make sweets with the milk, and butter and curd and sell it all in the market. Soon, he would grow very rich and build a big house with huge gardens and fruit orchards. He would now start trading in pearls, diamonds and other precious stones. The King would hear of his riches and bring along his daughter, the beautiful Princess and offer her hand in marriage.
Soon, they would have sons and daughters and they would run around the house, playing. When he would get fed up with their mischieves he would pick up a stick and beat them and beat them and beat them! Imagining he was beating the children, the Brahmin began to beat the air with his hands. Suddenly his hands struck the pot of flour, the pot broke and all its contents spilled to the ground. The Brahmin woke up to find that he was dreaming everything!. Oh Where is the big house, no lovely gardens , no wife or children. Only the broken pot and flour scattered all over the floor.
So friends I hope the message is clea
We should Never build castles in the air.
Can anyone achieve success with out hardwork? Dreams can be realized
Through hardwork only.
Thank you.

Ram Prasad Bismil
Ram Prasad Bismil, the young freedom fighter who inspired a generation
Desh hit paida huye hai
Desh par marr jayenge
Marte marte desh ko
zinda magar kar jayenge”
With a desire for freedom and revolutionary spirit reverberating in every inch of his body and his poetry, Ram Prasad Bismil was among the most notable Indian revolutionaries who fought British colonialism and made it possible for the nation to breathe the air of freedom after centuries of struggle against the imperial forces.
Ram Prasad Bismil was born on June 11, 1897, in a nondescript village in Uttar Pradesh’s Shahjahanpur district .He was associated with the Arya Samaj from an early age.
Bismil started writing powerful patriotic poems in Urdu and Hindi under the pen names of ‘Bismil’, ‘Ram’ and ‘Agyat’. The ideals of freedom and revolution got first ingrained in his mind after he read the death sentence passed on Bhai Parmanand, an Indian nationalist and Arya Samaj missionary. He gave vent to his anger in the form of his poem ‘Mera Janm’. He was just 18 then.
Bismil got his name etched as a prominent freedom fighter with his participation in the Mainpuri conspiracy of 1918. Bismil along with Genda Lal Dixit, a school teacher from Auraiya, organised youth from Etahwah, Mainpuri, Agra and Shahjahanpur districts to strengthen their organisations, ‘Matrivedi’ and ‘Shivaji Samiti’. He published a pamphlet titled ‘Deshwasiyon ke Naam’ and distributed it along with his poem ‘Mainpuri ki Pratigya’ on January 28, 1918. To collect funds for the parties, they looted government coffers.
His ideals of freedom struggle stood in stark contrast to that of Mahatma Gandhi and he would reportedly say “independence would not be achieved by means of non-violence”.
After conflicting views and growing resentment with the Congress party, he formed the Hindustan Republic Association which soon had leaders like Bhagat Singh and Chandrashekhar Azad.
On August 9, 1925, Ram Prasad Bismil along with companions Ashfaqulla Khan and others executed the plan of looting the train at Kakori near Lucknow. After the revolutionaries stopped the 8-Down Saharanpur Lucknow passenger train at Kakori, Ashfaqullah Khan, Sachindra Bakshi, Rajendra Lahiri and Ram Prasad Bismil subdued the guard and looted cash meant for the treasury. Within a month of the attack, the angered colonial authorities arrested more than a dozen HRA members.
After the trial in the so-called Kakori conspiracy, these four revolutionaries were sentenced to be hanged.
In Barrack number 11 of Lucknow Central Jail, Bismil wrote his autobiography, considered as one of the finest works in Hindi literature and also the cult song “Mera rang de Basanti chola”.
With the words “Jai Hind” on his lips, the 30-year-old Bimil was hanged in the Gorakhpur jail on December 19, 1927 and cremated on the banks of Tapti river.

• Mangal Pandey, (born July 19, 1827, Akbarpur, India—died April 8, 1857, Barrackpore), Indian soldier whose attack on British officers on March 29, 1857, was the first major incident of what came to be known as the Indian, or Sepoy, Mutiny (in India the uprising is often called the First War of Independence Pandey joined the army of the British East India Company in 1849, some accounts suggesting that he was recruited by a brigade that marched past him. He was made a soldier (sepoy) in the 6th Company of the 34th Bengal Native Infantry, which included a large number of Brahmans. Pandey was ambitious and viewed his profession as a sepoy as a stepping-stone to future success. While he was posted at the garrison in Barrackpore in the mid-1850s, a new Enfield rifle was introduced into India that required a soldier to bite off the ends of greased cartridges in order to load the weapon. A rumour spread that the lubricant used was either cow or pig lard, which was repugnant to Hindus or Muslims, respectively. The belief arose among the sepoys that the British had deliberately used the lard on the cartridgesPrivacy Policy
• Pandey attempted to incite his fellow sepoys to rise up against their British officers, attacked two of those officers, attempted to shoot himself after having been restrained, and eventually was overpowered and arrested. Some contemporary reports suggested that he was under the influence of drugs—possibly cannabis or opium—and was not fully aware of his actions. Pandey was soon tried and sentenced to death. His execution (by hanging) was set for April 18, but British authorities, fearing the outbreak of a large-scale revolt if they waited until then, moved the date up to April 8. Resistance to the use of Enfield cartridges later that month in Meerut led to the outbreak of a revolt there in May and the start of the larger insurrection.

Once upon a time there were three fishes in a pond-mother fish and her two kids. One fine day, two fishermen passed by the pond, and saw the fishes playing happily in the water. One fisherman said to the other, “Let's catch these fishes.” To this, the other fisherman replied, “It’s already late in the evening. We shall catch them tomorrow. “ Both the fishermen went away. Mother fish overheard their conversation and shook badly with fear. She told her kids, My dear children, did you hear what the fishermen said ? It is not safe to stay here anymore . Let's go to some other pond tonight.
“That's right,we must shift from here tonight ourselves,”Said the elder kid .The younger kid did not like the idea. He was not ready to move. Rather , he made fun of the elder brother. He did not find it sensible to leave the pond and go somewhere else. He refused to join them.
Both mother and the elder brother fish tried to convince him but to no good. Uncle frog also tried to make him understand but he laughed at all of them. The younger kid fish was so stubborn that he did not listen to anybody. Unfortunately that night there was heavy rainfall water level rose and mother fish and elder kid moved away to another pond the younger kid was left alone in that pond .The next day, fishermen came to the pond early in the morning .The younger kid fish did not get frightened even when he saw them. He played and stayed in the pond .The fishermen threw the fishing rod into the pond and the younger kid fish was caught in the fishing rod. He could not escape from the fishing rod. Then, he thought of his mother and brother and regretted his foolishness. He wished he would have obeyed his elders. He cried loudly but no one was around to come and help him.

Adversity shapes our life
This is a story that explains how adversity is met differently by different people. There was a girl named Asha who lived with her mother and father in a village. One day, her father assigned her a simple task. He took three vessels filled with boiling water. He placed an egg in one vessel, a potato in the second vessel, and some tea leaves in the third vessel. He asked Asha to keep an eye on the vessels for about ten to fifteen minutes while the three ingredients in three separate vessels boiled. After the said time, he asked Asha to peel the potato and egg, and strain the tea leaves. Asha was left puzzled – she understood her father was trying to explain her something, but she didn’t know what it was.
Her father explained, “All three items were put in the same circumstances. See how they’ve responded differently.” He said that the potato turned soft, the egg turned hard, and the tea leaves changed the colour and taste of the water. He further said, “We are all like one of these items. When adversity calls, we respond exactly the way they do. Now, you can be either a potato, an egg, or tea leaves?”
There are some people who give up and surrender like a potato before difficult situations in life.
There are some people who like eggs change themselves and loose their original self like an egg. There are some people like tea leaves who see opportunities in adversity and develop themselves.
So don’t give up when adversity knocks you down.

A boy named Raj was upset because he had done poorly in his English test. He was sitting in his room when his grandmother came and comforted him. His grandmother sat beside him and gave him a pencil. Raj looked at his grandma puzzled, and said he didn’t deserve a pencil after his performance in the test.
His grandma explained, "You can learn many things from this pencil because it is just like you. It experiences a painful sharpening, just the way you have experienced the pain of not doing well on your test. However, it will help you be a better student. Just as all the good that comes from the pencil is from within itself, you will also find the strength to overcome this hurdle. And finally, just as this pencil will make its mark on any surface, you too shall leave your mark on anything you choose to.” Raj was immediately consoled and promised himself that he would do better.

Asked him to slow down and eat his breakfast. Gaurav replied that he had no time. He picked up Sandwich and rushed out. His father just smiled.

Didn’t you know it’s a strike? Anyway, it is good that you are here, now you can help me with my work.” Gaurav’s heart sank. He had no idea what to do. The only solution was to finish the Principal’s work fast and go home. Alas, he was wrong. The Principal first made him to write down the names of all the students in the fifth grade in the register book. Then he made him go to each classroom to keep dusters and chalk. All of this took up almost half the day. Gaurav was famished. After finishing all the tasks the principal gave him permission to leave. Gaurav decided to eat his lunch. He realized, in his hurry he had forgotten to carry lunch box. He started his journey back home. He was waiting for the bus when a passerby reminded him that the transport services were stalled due to the strike. He had to walk for 5 kms.
Ultimately Gaurav reached home tired and hungry. He saw his Dad and asked him if he too went to the office and returned home. His father replied,” No, I knew there was a strike. It was in the papers.” Gaurav could not believe it. He asked his father. “You knew it was a strike and you still did not stop me from going to school?” His father replied,” How could I tell you, you were in such a hurry.” Gaurav realized his mistake. He apologized to his parents and swore to be more disciplined in future, because “Discipline is the secret to a fruitful life.”

Having A Best Friend
A story tells that two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face.
The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand;
“Today my best friend slapped me in the face.”
They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him. After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone;
“Today my best friend saved my life.
The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him;
“After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?”
The other friend replied
“When someone hurts us we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it.”
Moral of the story:
Don’t value the things you have in your life. But value who you have in your life.
Inter school recitation competition poem for class 2
Respected teachers and all my dear friends today in this recitation competition I am reciting a poem on the topic
Mother ,mother is the most precious possession of every person’s life. Can anyone describe the role of mother in words ?It is simply impossible. A mother is a true incarnation of God. No one can replace a mother in a person's life. So here is a tribute to every mother on this earth. The topic of my poem is mother.
‘Mother”
My mother my friend so dear
Throughout my life she is always near
A tender smile to guide my way
She is sunshine to light my day.
She opens her eyes
before the sun rises
And keeps on fulfilling everyone's need
She is the real homemaker indeed
She cooks the delicacies we want
and never denies anyone's fond .
She never lets her children lapse
And prevents the family from sad relapse
She never treats anyone unequally
She showers her love on us equally.
When ever any problem is there
For us our mother is always there
with whom everything we can share
She always sacrifices her desire and what she feels
for every pain she is the medicine that heals.
No one can take her place instead
without her, life is insipid
She is the other name of God
A real incarnation of God on Earth
Oh Thank you God why do I bother
When your blessings are with me
In the form of Mother.
