- John (Calm, thoughtful disciple, younger-looking)
- Sarah (Curious child, 8 years old)
- David (Energetic child, 7 years old)

*Setting:*
A simple stage with a few props like a bench and a blanket.
*(The play opens with the Narrator)*
Narrator: Once upon a time, Jesus was traveling through a sunny village. He was tired after a long journey and wanted to rest.
*(Enter Jesus, looking weary. He sits on a bench and sighs)*
Narrator: Some parents, hearing Jesus was in town, brought their children to meet him. They hoped Jesus would bless their little ones.
*(Enter Sarah, David, and other children with their parents. They approach Jesus excitedly)*
Sarah: Hi, Jesus! My mommy said you can bless us!
David: Can you make me strong like a lion?
Other Children: (Chattering excitedly) Me too! Me too!
*(Peter strides forward, looking stern)*
Peter: Shhh! Quiet down! Don't you see Jesus is tired? He needs his rest!
*(John places a hand on Peter's shoulder)*
John: Peter, maybe we should let Jesus decide.
Narrator: Peter wasn't so sure. He thought Jesus wouldn't want to be bothered by children. But guess what?
*(Jesus opens his eyes and smiles gently)*
Jesus: Hello, little ones! Come, come, sit with me. Peter, John, why don't you join us too?
*(The children gather around Jesus, while Peter and John sit nearby, looking surprised)*
Narrator: Jesus loved children! He knew they had pure hearts and something special to teach even grown-ups.
Sarah: Jesus, why did Peter try to send us away?
Jesus: (Chuckles) Well, Peter here sometimes forgets that even the smallest among us can be wise.
David: Wise? Like owls?
Jesus: Even wiser! Sometimes, the things we learn in childhood stay with us forever. Things like kindness, honesty, and a sense of wonder.
*(Peter scratches his head, looking thoughtful)*
Peter: Hmm, I never thought of it that way.
John: Me neither. Maybe we can learn from these little ones.
Narrator: Jesus was happy to see his disciples understand. He picked up Sarah and held her close.
Jesus: See, Sarah, you are a child of God, just as precious and loved as anyone else.
Sarah: (Beaming) Really? Even though I'm little?
Jesus: Especially because you're little! Children remind us to be humble, to see the world with fresh eyes, and to believe in the magic of life.
Narrator: Jesus then told a story. He said, "Whoever welcomes a child like this welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me."
*(Jesus puts Sarah down and looks at all the children)*
Jesus: Do you understand? You are all important, no matter your age. You can teach others valuable lessons about love, joy, and faith.
*(The children nod enthusiastically)*
David: So, we can be teachers too?
Jesus: (Smiling) Absolutely! You can teach with your laughter, your curiosity, and your big hearts.
*(The parents approach Jesus, looking touched)*
Parent 1: Thank you, Jesus. We never realized how much we could learn from our children.
Parent 2: We'll treasure their innocence and see the world through their eyes.
Narrator: Jesus blessed all the children and sent them off with happy hearts. He reminded everyone that true greatness comes from humility and a childlike spirit.
*(All the characters gather in a circle)*
All: (Together) Let's learn from each other, young and old!
*(The Narrator steps forward)*
Narrator: And so, Jesus' message of love and respect for all, including children, spread throughout the land. Remember, you are never too small to make a difference!
The end!
